Guppy (Recommended Ages 3-5)
This class is designed for children who cannot yet swim independently. The goal is to assimilate a child into the water at a comfortable pace. Instructors will teach swimmers basic topics such as safe water entry/exit, bubble blowing, how to submerge and many other core aquatic skills. All learning in this class will be done through games and that is both fun and conducive to learning.
Manta-Ray (Ages 4-6)The Manta Ray course is designed for swimmers in the early stages of independent swimming. The goal of this lesson is to become proficient enough to pass the deep-water test by the conclusion of the course. Instructors will focus on the student’s swimming technique, both on their front and back. The curriculum will incorporate the use of drills, games, as well as in and out of water technique work aimed at increasing endurance efficiency.
Barracuda (5-7)The Barracuda level is for students who can independently swim. Students in this course may not have passed the deep-water test but are very close and just require a little encouragement and technique. The overall objective is to increase technique, efficiency, and endurance to translate to early stages of lap swimming.
Shark 6+¨The final level of our program is intended for swimmers that have passed the deep water test, do not yet feel ready to participate on the swim team. The curriculum is designed using beginner swim team workouts with a heavy emphasis on technique and efficiency. By the conclusion of the course, students should feel comfortable enough to compete.
